Save the Children is seeking qualified candidate to fulfill the following vacancy in its Gaza Office:
2 Field Officers Position#: (2FO/GZ/2015)
Main Responsibilities:
Key Area 1: Project Facilitation
This post holder is a representative of SCI for this program for the counterparts and will coordinate closely with them.
The field officer will be responsible for follow up of the activity in the field, and provide technical support to field staff.
This post is expected to represent SCI before target communities and stakeholders.
Contribute to the documentation of the project activities and events to the SC in close coordination with the Program Officer.
Key Area 3: Monitoring and Evaluation
Assist in ongoing collection of monitoring data
Advocate to local authorities community’s needs, and rising awareness on vulnerability identified.
Identify capacity gaps and training needs for local partners to improve their skills in project management and implementation.
Key Area 3: Reporting
The Field Officer will coordinate all needed support from SCI and provide all necessary reports and updates concerning the program and its implementation activities.
Ensure reports (oral and writing) describe in details and with the maximum accuracy the situation faced at field level.
Ensure concerned people and particularly within line management are always timely updated on the status of the project.
Ensure expenses are reported in parallel with activities implementation.
Coordinate with finance staff on accounting, budget monitoring, and financial reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors' degree in Health, Nutrition, or Hygiene either in public / community health, nursing, or any related field.
At least two year of experience in implementing similar tasks.
Demonstrated skills in implementing health activities with partners.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience in implementing a complex and diverse workload and to tight deadlines.
Strong knowledge of NGO structures and health NGO's.
Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment.
Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic is required.
