Right To Play is an international humanitarian organization that uses sport and play programs
to improve health, develop life skills, and foster peace for children and communities in the most
disadvantaged areas of the world. Working in both the humanitarian and development context, Right
To Play trains local community leaders as Coaches to deliver our programs in more than 20 countries affected by war, poverty, and disease in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Right To Play is now seeking a qualified candidate for the position of :
Title: 2 Sport for Development supervisor
Based: Gaza
Starting Date: 1st January 2010
The primary responsibility of the supervisor is to assist and supervise the implementation of Right to Play programs that include:
- The provision of Sport Works training programs for teachers at schools and at the community level.
- Raise awareness of the Sport Works programs and establish contacts with schools, communitydevelopment organizations;
- Liaise with local institutions, sports volunteers, teachers and community coaches to support program implementation.
- Conduct monitoring sessions for teachers in schools and centres.
- Tracking and follow up of numbers of children, coaches and partners.
Required qualifications:
- University degree in social sciences, physical education or relevant field.
- Previous experience in working with youth and children
- Good networking and report writing skills.
- Fluent in Arabic with English writing and verbal skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and as a team member.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Driving licence is an asset.
