Job Title:                      Academic Associate, Palestine Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS)
Status:                          Full-time Sub-contract
Contract duration:      Six Months.  Starting 10 February 2025 to 09 August 2025

Job Summary:

The Palestine Institute for Biodiversity and Sustainability (PIBS) at Bethlehem University is seeking to hire a temporary Academic Associate. The position holder oversees the educational programing of the PIBS. The Academic Associate is responsible for managing all children’s educational activities, participating in research work, and performing other PIBS tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Job Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Biology or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational role.
  • Ability to instruct, stimulate curiosity, and engage school age children in the learning process.
  • Some experience in laboratory or field or museum work.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Research experience evidenced by published work.
  • Driver’s license
