I-Background on ACTED
ACTED is an international NGO registered in France. ACTED’s vocation is to support vulnerable populations affected by wars, natural disasters and/or economic and social crises, and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED started its activities in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in May 2007. ACTED is currently implementing projects covering multiple humanitarian / development sectors, funded by of a variety of international donors, which aim at protecting vulnerable households and strengthening civil society actors across the oPt. ACTED oPt offers a dynamic, rigorous and knowledge-orientated working environment.

In the occupied Palestinian territory, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of communities, consolidate civil society organisations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza. ACTED currently seeks an Accountability Assistant for its operations inside Gaza.

III-Position Profile
- Acted Feedback Mechanism (AFM)
1.1 Implementation of the AFM
- Operate the AFM phoneline from hours of 8am-4pm on official working days- including answering the phoneline, documenting feedback or complaints utilizing Acted’s global procedures, and following up on cases to ensure answers are provided.
- Treat urgent and/or sensitive complaints with the immediate attention they require, and ensure a fast resolution;
- Respond to complaints objectively, accurately, and in line with Acted guidelines, using information provided by Project Managers, MEAL Officers/Monitors, Area Coordinators, Technical Coordinators, project documents, FLAT documents and procedures, etc;
- Maintain confidential and detailed records of all complaints in the AFM database and other electronic and hard copy filing systems, as appropriate;
1.2 Establishment and Promotion of the AFM
- Support the establishment and implementation of the Acted Feedback Mechanism (AFM) in Gaza in line with Acted standard AFM procedures;
- Build capacity and understanding among Acted staff, partners and contractors on beneficiary accountability and AFM;2. Other
- Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to supervisors and other team members;
- Assist project and MEAL teams with other activities, as requested by immediate supervisor;
- Perform any other related activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.

IV-Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or any other related field.
- At least one year of experience in a similar position , preferred in INGOs
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to use Microsoft programs especially Excel, Word
- Knowledge or understanding of Accountability, Feedback and Complaints Mechanisms – or willingness to learn
- Very Good in reading, writing and speaking both Arabic and English.
- High ability to remain calm, keep a neutral attitude, and maintain high levels of professionalism
- Strong ability to take initiative, anticipate tasks, and manage tasks/teams independently.
- Detail oriented
- Ability to problem solve, be flexible, and manage multiple tasks at once
