Accountant

The Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS) was founded in Jerusalem in 1994 as an independent non-profit institution dedicated to producing sound and innovative policy research and fostering public participation in the formulation of economic and social policies. In the eighteen years of its existence, MAS has produced over two hundred and sixteen publications, which have helped to raise awareness and promote evidence based decision-making in Palestine.

(MAS) is seeking a qualified and talented Accountant according to the following criteria:

Key Responsibilities
-Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
-Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
-Prepare and verify daily reports.
-Support other departments as necessary.
-Assist the Director of Finance and Administration with monthly general ledger maintenance.
-Assist in the preparation of year-end audit files and analysis.
-Perform additional administrative assignments as requested by the Director of Finance and
Administration.

Required Qualifications
-B.A. in Accounting or related field from an accredited university.
-Three years of proven experience as an accountant.
-Computer literacy and expertise using accounting software packages.
-Fluency in English and Arabic.
