Job Description
The Terre des hommes Foundation (Lausanne) a Swiss-based international non governmental organisation dedicated to children’ assistance and protection, is looking for an experienced
Position: Accountant & administrative assistant.
Location: Jerusalem Office with regular trips to Hebron base.
Duration: 1 year renewable.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-To be in charge of the global accountancy of Terre des hommes mission ensuring transparency and respect of Terre des hommes regulations.
-To maintain the cash and bank books of Terre des hommes mission in Jerusalem and control the field bases books.
-To be responsible of the monthly closing of all the mission accounts according to Terre des hommes procedure.
-To follow-up national staff contracts, attendance sheet and leaves.
-To prepare the monthly payrolls.
-To prepare taxes for West Bank and Jerusalem staff in coordination with the Tax Advisor.
-To perform other administrative tasks (i.e. invoice translation, filling).
PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE:
-University degree in accounting.
-Minimum 2 years of similar experience preferable with INGO.
-Good knowledge of local labour laws.
-Good computer skills (Word, Excel and Internet).
-Ability to learn and perform duties under pressure.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Ability to be flexible and to work autonomously.
-Fluency in English, Arabic and proficient in Hebrew.
-Knowledge in SAGA will be valued.
