Accounting Training Professional

AMIDEAST is seeking qualified trainers to deliver accounting training for the Palestinian Women Accounting Technicians (PWAT) project supported by the World Bank.

The project aims to innovatively address the challenge of high unemployment among women and the lack of quality of financial management and financial reporting among Micro-, Small-, and Medium-sized Entities (MSMEs) by providing marginalized Palestinian women with accounting training, employment advisory support and counseling and psychological support to increase their employability and allow them to provide quality accounting services for MSMEs.

Training will be held in Arabic at our AMIDEAST facilities in Nablus, Ramallah, and Hebron during the period April-May 2015.

Roles and Responsibilities:
-Develop accounting training material in Arabic covering the following topics in conjunction with other trainers
-Accounting Framework
-Chart of Accounts & Main Accounting Standards
-Applied Accounting
-Tax System
-Business Law and Contractual Issues
-Computer Skills and Accounting Software
-Deliver 105 training hours during the months of April-May 2015

Qualifications Required:
-Master’s degree in Accounting and minimum of 3 years’ experience in training
-Proven ability to self-manage his/her own time and tasks to meet or exceed goals
-Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
-Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
-Fluent spoken and written Arabic and English language skills
-Ability to travel within the West Bank
-Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, and local accounting software
