With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. MAP is seeking an Accounting Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, with a focus on intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and expenditure reviews. This role supports the month-end and year-end closing processes, assists with annual audits, and ensures compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist will contribute to inventory reconciliation and financial documentation, helping maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Through detailed analysis and reconciliation, this position plays a key role in maintaining the organization’s financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, backed by relevant experience or a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. They have a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations, with hands-on experience in month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support. Proficient in accounting software like Xledger or QuickBooks and advanced in MS Office, particularly Excel, they demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure. Fluency in English and Arabic, along with strong communication skills, ensures effective collaboration across teams.
