Job Description
ACTED is a French humanitarian international NGO working in the West Bank since 2007.
We are seeking:
Field Agronomist, Project: “Emergency Support to Populations Affected by Drought”
(Job Code: ACTEDS07091)
Start date: ASAP. Salary: 3500 NIS per month net or depending on experience - Full Time Position.
Based in Salfeet, the Field Agronomist will bear the following main responsibilities:
Program Support:
- Create activity plans regarding to work-plans designed by the Project Coordinator
- Participate in beneficiary selection – creation of village committees, announcement of projects, liaison with Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation Team and Field Monitor
-Coordinate distribution of fodder with logistics including development of distribution lists
- Coordinate internally with Project Coordinator & other staff to ensure smooth implementation of activities
-Coordinate externally with beneficiaries and other groups as needed to ensure implementation
- Ensure timely data/document collection and filing of documents related to above activities
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the agricultural sector preferably with NGOs/INGOs
- University degree in agronomy or related field
- Excellent computer skills including Excel
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Highly organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines effectively
- Driving License preferred
