Activity Integration and MEL Lead

Job Description

Chemonics International seeks an Activity Integration and MEL Lead for the USAID-funded Trade, Investment, and Finance Activity in the West Bank and Gaza. The project seeks to drive transformative impacts for the Palestinian sector through increased trade and exports and position the Palestinian economy for growth. The Activity Integration and MEL Lead will supervise project communication, monitoring, evaluation and learning and project reporting. The Activity Integration and MEL Lead must have at least five to seven years of experience working on donor-funded projects in the West Bank and Gaza and/or the wider region. Candidates should have proficient English skills and be highly experienced in monitoring, evaluation and learning, particularly for donor clients. Candidates with experience and familiarity with strategic communications and strong management skills are preferred. This position will be based in Ramallah. Responsibilities Activity Integration and MEL Lead key responsibilities includes, though are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the project goals and strategies to ensure they are integrated into knowledge sharing, communications, and outreach activities 
  • Develops a project-level or industry-level communications plans or communications mini-strategies around ongoing technical activities of the project and assisted industries and beneficiaries
  • Provide strategic and programmatic advice on communication strategies 
  • Serve as the key focal point for all strategic communications, technical reporting, and external engagements
  • Provide ongoing strategic outreach and guidance related to external positioning, stakeholder relations, event planning, buy-in development, and other strategic communications needs
  • Develop content and design of communications in accordance with the branding, marking, and marketing standards of USAID and Chemonics International
  • Lead contractual and regular reports drafting processes (including quarterly reports, annual reports, weekly reports, and success stories)  
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the COP

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of five to seven years of experience with demonstrated experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning, including management experience 
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and providing communications support to high-profile industry stakeholders in Palestine including the private and public sector, donors, and other relevant CSOs. 
  • Broad communications skillset and experience developing and implementing effective communications activities and strategies
  • Relevant experience leading diverse teams and demonstrated capacity in building staff skills and ensuring quality control of project deliverables
  • Regional experience in the Middle East and North, specifically in the West Bank and Gaza, is required
  • Understanding of country context and key stakeholders is required
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity 
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills in English required. Arabic proficiency advantageous
