and Remote Intervention Trainer

1. Background:
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a UK-registered charity that has been reaching out to the Palestinian communities, striving to deliver health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in need at times of crisis while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.
MAP’s vision is of a future in which all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable, and locally led system of healthcare and the full realization of their rights to health and dignity.
In reference to the project titled: “Access to trauma, emergency care at the prehospital level, and mental health and psychosocial support services.” which is funded by the oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF), MAP is seeking a trainer to prepare and deliver two days of training on topics of Acute Stress Disorder (ASD) and the principles of Self-care, and one day training on MHPSS Remote intervention methods. The target of this training is UNRWA healthcare workers working in Nablus and Tulkaram UNRWA camps.
2. Objectives:
MAP is seeking a trainer to:
- Prepare and deliver one day training for UNRWA healthcare workers working in Tulkarem and Nablus areas on Acute stress disorder (ASD) and the principles of self-care.
- Provide psychological support for UNRWA healthcare workers from peers by encouraging participants to express their worries and traumas and combat the stigma of mental health disorders.
- Prepare and deliver one day training for UNRWA healthcare workers working in Tulkarem and Nablus areas on MHPSS remote interventions methods and application.

3. Training details:
- The trainer would aim to train 20-25 participants on ASD and the principles of self-care. Training will include visual aids and situational training.
- The trainer would aim to train 20-25 participants on Remote intervention. Training will include visual aids and situational training.
4. Scope of Work:
- Prepare and provide training materials relevant to the required training, including assessment tools to measure the effect of training.
- Deliver one day of ASD training and one remote intervention training to 20-25 participants.
- Deliver one-day Remote intervention training for 20-25 participants.
- Include visual aids and interactive methods in training.
- Write a detailed training report with recommendations for future actions.
- Complete the safeguarding online training via kayaconnect.org and provide the completion certificate to MAP.
5. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s /Graduate degree in Psychology or related fields.
- Previous experience with capacity building in areas like ASD and MHPSS remote interventions.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-tasking including prioritization and ability to work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good experience in monitoring implementation of program activities.
- Good command of the English language both written and spoken.

7. Ethical Considerations
The trainer will be required to adhere to MAP policies and ethical guidelines, including MAP’s safeguarding policy and code of conduct.
