Job Description
Palestinian Organization for Development (POD) is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent Organization, founded in Middle governorate - Gaza Strip in 2000. POD works toward social-economic development to perform positive changes in the human life.
POD is recruiting candidates for the following position:
Admin and Finance Coordinator
Title: Admin and Finance Coordinator
Location: POD Office, Deir Al Balah
Reports to: Executive Director & Financial Manager
Tasks and responsibilities:
Finance:
- Assists in the management of the project budget by budget formulation, controlling allocations, monitoring expenditures, and preparing revisions according to the needs of the project;
- Generates financial reports, when needed;
- Ensures the effective recording and reporting system, internal control and audit follow-up and processes administrative and financial transactions in an accurate and timely way;
- Drafts routine correspondence related to financial and administrative matters for the signatures of Project Coordinator;
- Perform any other tasks required by Financial Manager.
Administrative:
- Assists in preparation of monthly project work plans, and arranges relevant planning meetings within the office and with counterparts;
- Facilitates preparation of project review meetings, drafts minutes of meetings;
- Assist in the logistical and managerial preparation for all project required supplies and equipment.
- Ensures that all official documents are prepared and kept in the project files for retrieval and archiving;
- Facilitates project activities and relevant missions, by arranging meeting schedules, coordinating logistical support, collecting reference documents, and maintaining records;
- Perform any other tasks required by Executive Director.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- University degree in business administration, Accounting or other relevant filed;
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in NGO accounting;
- knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel;
- Experience in using the accounting system (Golden Asseal );
- Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English & Arabic;
- Ability to prepare financial plans and financial analysis;
- Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
