Procurement & Admin Intern

The Procurement & admin Intern is responsible for facilitating the procurement aspects of CARE international procurement operations.  Working closely with Program, Administration, Finance and Logistics, the Procurement & admin Intern is instrumental in supporting operational activities.   

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Conduct procurement activities, including completing purchase requests and other documents, collecting quotations/bids, interacting with vendors, and updating the Procurement Database and other files. Support in receiving, opening bids/quotations, preparing evaluation documents when needed.
  •  Ensure that all payment documents are reviewed/complete and signed by the relevant staff and submitted to the finance department.
  • Provide support for the procurement team as needed.
  • Visits suppliers (company site, stores, and/or production facilities) to collect information and price offers and signing documents as needed.
  • Collecting invoices/receipts and payment requests.
  • Preparing, sending and collecting VAT letters with the MOF.
  • Following up and communicating with vendors as needed.

Minimum Qualification & Transferable Skills

  • Formal qualification in a relevant business field is desired.
  • No experience needed/Fresh graduate.
  • Very good oral and written English skills.
  • Good computer skills on MS Office programs, especially in MS Excel.
  • A clear understanding of procurement ethics.
  • Strong communication skills.
