AFSC Administration and Finance Assistant
The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker Organization which works with people from various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. AFSC’s work in Palestine dates back to the year of 1949, when the AFSC offered support and help for Palestinians seeking refuge in Gaza after the 1948 war. From its initial engagement AFSC has been committed to peace-building as well as relief efforts. Today the main activity of AFSC is the Palestine Youth Program which empowers Palestinian young people to become proactive agents of social change. There are plans for expansion into additional program areas in Israel, and the wider Middle East region.
AFSC is seeking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of part-time (Monday to Thursday 21 hours) Administration and Finance Assistant in Jerusalem to start immediately.
Scope of Work:
-Reception responsibility
-Administration responsibilities that involve human resources, premises management, purchasing and logistics.
-Information Technology supervision
-Finance that is includes finance support, finance control, and support finance reporting
-Other duties
Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or other relevant field
-One year of experience with HR/Admin finance preferably in an NGO
-Proficiency in both Arabic and English, Hebrew is a plus
-Good communication skills
-Experience with Microsoft Office applications – mainly in Excel and Word
-Attention to details, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
-Flexibility and high motivation to learn
