Administrative Assistant

GIZ has been commissioned by the German Government to implement the “Regional Social and Cultural Fund for Palestinian Refugees and Gaza Population“
To support the ProgramTeam at UNRWA Field Office in Bethlehem, we are looking for an
“Administrative Assistant(part-time 50%)”
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-Manage limited subject area or recurring tasks according to request of clients or of supervisor;
-Assist supervisor in implementing GIZ policies, procedures, systems, rules and regulations;
-Perform administrative tasks which demand the mastery of a specific subject area, acting on own initiative and responsibility, anticipating possible difficulties, and developing solutions;
-Manage daily office work;
-Follow up on car logs and other car issues related to the project;
-Procurement of program assets including inventory and preparation of handing over protocols;
-Organizing business trips including purchasing tickets, hotel accommodation and transportation for staff, consultants, counterparts and travel expense calculation;
-Cooperate with the project’s administrative officer on several administrative tasks;
-Maintain communications and good relations with colleagues and project team;
-Assist in any other related task.
Required qualifications:
-University degree BA in Business Administration or related fields.
-Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant occupational experience.
-Fluent in Arabic and English. German is a definite plus.
-Excellent computer and communication skills.
-Ability to work under stressful conditions, self-initiator, flexible and able to work with people of different backgrounds, service oriented, friendly personality, well organised and motivated.
-Isreali or Jerusalem ID holder is preferable and Bethlehem area resident.
Assignment: Starting 15 January 2014. 6 months contract with possible extension.
