Administrative Assistant
American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), a Development Assistance and Humanitarian Aid Organization working in Palestine since 1968, is a leading provider of development, health, education and employment programs to Palestinian communities and impoverished families throughout the Near East., is recruiting for the position “Administrative Assistant” based in ANERA’s Jerusalem Office.
General Duties:
-Perform administrative duties within the Administration/HR unit;
-Fill in the reception tasks whenever is needed;
-Updating and maintaining information on computer systems;
-Maintaining records of activities and tasks;
-Drafting letters in English, Arabic and Hebrew;
-Contact Israeli authorities in Jerusalem and Erez as needed;
-Assist in preparation of the organization’s cards and permits;
-Translation experience from Hebrew to English, and from Arabic to English as needed;
Educational Background and Experience Requirements:
-A university degree or diploma in business administration, social sciences, or other related fields;
-Four to five years of experience related to administrative activities within an NGO environment, preferably USAID funded;
-Experience in writing minutes;
-Effective written and oral communication skills;
-Strong computer skills;
-Fluent written and oral English, Hebrew and Arabic;
-Should have a Jerusalem ID and lives in Jerusalem;
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
-Driving license is preferable.
