“Local Governance and Civil Society Development Program (LGP)“
To support the Program Team at the German House for Development Cooperation in Al-Bireh, we
are looking for a

“Administrative Assistant”
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-Provides administrative / secretarial support for the Program, such as answering the phone, sending faxes, assisting staff and visitors, preparing as required, e.g. agendas and minutes of
meetings;
-In charge of all logistical and administrative arrangements related to the LGP workshops, meetings, short-term missions etc.;
-Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments etc. for the Team Leader;
-Organizes and maintains the office and office equipments and vehicles;
-Vehicles which includes vehicles’ log, fuel consumption calculation and renewal of vehicles’ license and insurance.
-Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, library and/or other soft and hard documentation for the LGP;
-Assists, supports and deputizes the Program’s Administrative Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
-College or University degree (BA in Business Administration, or similar)
-Fluent in Arabic, excellent command of English; German skills are highly desirable
-Excellent computer skills
-Flexibility, organizational and coordination skills
-Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
-Ability and willingness to work as part of a team
-Ability and willingness to learn quickly and take on increasing responsibilities
Assignment: expected starting date January 2011.
