Key responsibilities:
Administrative support services to the professional staff of Hebron office to facilitate smooth operations and effective processing of information and data.
-Helps manage the immediate office operations with respect to administration, communications, meetings and work flow; identifies complex or sensitive subjects for special treatment as well as priority issues that need to be brought to the supervisor’s attention.
-Establishes internal tracking systems and procedures for correspondence and documents; monitor work progress and cases of priority and concern to the supervisor(s)
-Collects and prepare background briefing materials for supervisor concerning official trips or special meetings. Undertake travel arrangements for supervisor, including arranging itinerary, visas, and hotel reservations and preparation of TA.
-Maintain an effective and updated filing system for the field office.
Interpreter/Translator Duties
-Provides oral interpretation services from Arabic to English and English to Arabic as required by the Supervisor.
-Translates and types out written correspondence from Arabic to English and English to Arabic as required.
-Participates in meetings with local officials and translate as required.
Driving and chauffeur services
-Drive the vehicle assigned by UNICEF for the transportation of the authorized personnel of the office whenever required within and out of Hebron.
-Logs official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.
-Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs. Ensures that the vehicle is kept clean.
-Deliver and collect mails, documents, supplies and other items as required.
-Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken, in case of involvement in an accident.

-Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications of successful candidate:
Education:
Completion of Secondary School Education.
Work Experience:
-2 years of experience in Secretarial or administrative functions, including on the job training in general office systems and procedures. Knowledge and skills in using standard office computer applications.
-Computer literacy and the ability to effectively use standard office software tools and other office technology to create documentation, exchange and archive e-mail, and maintain electronic filing systems
-Driving Skills – Minimum two years of professional driving experience.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic
