Duration of Contract: 12 months
Reports to: Executive Director (ED)
Anar is a not-for-profit organization situated in Beit Sahour, Palestine. Our work is centered on advancing the psychosocial wellbeing and resilience of children who have been impacted by violence and oppression. We are committed to improving the lives of these children through various programs and interventions that prioritize their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Through awareness, advocacy, and community-based psychosocial services, we aim to break the cycle of oppression and intergenerational trauma and build community capacity for collective resilience and hope.
Job Summary:
The Administrative and Financial Officer will play a pivotal role at Anar for Empowerment and Psychosocial Support, overseeing the daily administrative and financial operations to ensure the organization functions smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a specialist with experience in administrative and financial management, particularly within nonprofit organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management
- Manage financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
- Prepare various financial reports (income statements, cash flow statements, budgets, monthly, quarterly, year-end, and project-end reports).
- Monitor budgets to optimize spending and identify savings.
- Manage project budgets, including formulation, allocation control, expenditure monitoring, and revisions.
- Provide financial inputs for donor reports.
- Ensure all payments have necessary supporting documents before processing.
- Accurately record all transactions in the accounting system daily.
- Conduct periodic checks of cash advances and follow up on bank balances.
- Prepare monthly closure and reconciliation reports for cash and bank.
- Ensure compliance and proper archiving of financial documentation.
- Participate in internal/external audits and spot checks.
- Maintain the confidentiality of financial information.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
- Administrative Management
- Manage office operations, including facilities, maintenance, and repairs.
- Keep inventory of office and program supplies.
- Research and recommend new services, systems, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with organizing events, conferences, and workshops.
- Human Resources
- Organize, record, and process payroll for administrative staff and reimbursements for contractors.
- Handle insurance management and coordinate claims processing.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, administration and budget control.
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications. Good knowledge of Bissan systems is an asset.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic
- High commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
