Advocacy and Communications Coordinator

Job Description

AFSC - Quaker Service is looking for an Advocacy and Communications Coordinator based in East Jerusalem.

This is the job for you if you are:
-Passionate about presenting accurate and compelling information in support of peace and justice
-Able to develop high quality information materials which reflect the voices of young Palestinians
-Someone who works creatively with people from different backgrounds
-Open to learning

The main purpose of the job will be to:
-Lead the communications strategy for AFSC’s work
-Gather stories and case-studies from program
-Ensure consistent messaging and appropriate visibility
-Represent AFSC with media and others

Minimum requirements:
-Three years or more experience of working in communications role
-Willingness to listen to the voices of young Palestinians
-Proven capacity to understand and use information strategically
-Ability to tell the Palestinian story to a US audience
-Fluent Arabic and English (written and spoken) is essential, Hebrew is desirable
-Familiarity with E-communication, Website development and MS Office applications
