Agronomist / fixed-term contract

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and armed violence. It takes action in response to emergencies and at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation in national law.

Your Job (main tasks)
-Develops project proposals, including work plans, to address the key agricultural issues of the concerned target groups
-Contributes, assists and supports the implementation of running projects / agricultural programmes
-Supports the delegate and participates to the budget process (Planning for Results)
-Monitors and supervises the projects implementation and results
-Mobilises communities and applies clear criteria to identify and select beneficiaries
-Maintains emergency response capacity
-Creates and maintains network of potential stakeholders at technical level and liaises with relevant authorities to ensure the prioritisation of Agricultural projects
-Translates all kinds of documents/meetings if needed

Your Profile (skills & experience required)
-University Degree or professional diploma in Agronomy or related field
-3 - 5 years work experience in similar function
-Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
-Very good Computer skills
-Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
-Good analytical and leadership skills
