The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking highly qualified candidates for two separate positions of AID Development Assistance Assistants, to work within the Education and/or the Health Office of the USAID Mission for West Bank & Gaza. The primary purpose of these positions is to provide support through a variety of administrative and technical duties in support of the programs within the Health and Education offices. These positions require knowledge of AID Development Assistance documentation procedures and requirements, USAID policies, and Education and Health programs and projects in the West Bank and Gaza. Responsibilities include preparing required documentation and routine correspondence in support of the offices’ program activities; conducting field monitoring and organizing site visits; and ensuring the smooth operation of the office. The incumbent will provide additional support to the Office Director and team members as needed. These positions are based in Tel Aviv and require the ability to commute to the office on daily basis.
    
QUALIFICATIONS SOUGHT FOR BOTH POSITIONS:

-At least two years of post-secondary education, preferably in business, finance, health, education or organization-related field is required.
-A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience is required, preferably in finance, budgeting related to education and humanitarian development assistance, administrative or organizational management, or related work in a non-governmental or international organization.
-General knowledge within the Health and/or Education fields is desired.
-Must have the ability to obtain, analyze, organize and interpret data and to present findings in both oral and written form. Must be able to prepare precise and accurate reports with minimal grammatical errors; and to develop and present briefings in English.
-Must have the ability to develop and maintain working level contacts at the host government level.
-Strong skills in the operation of computers and software program applications, which may include Excel, PowerPoint or other database software, and word processing programs such as Microsoft Word, are required.
-Level IV (fluent) English speaking and writing ability is required. Working knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
