ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of ANCP Project Coordinator - Part time 50% (20 Hours/Week) for 12 months period (extendable).
The post location is Hebron.
Start Date: Immediately
the Project coordinator is responsible for the management and implementation of ActionAid’s Project Valiance Basala Phase III (Empowered and resilient women in H2 area of Hebron) in partnership with ActionAid Australia and funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
She/he provides the efficient and effective implementation of project activities as per the project proposal, work plan and budget. & ensure the quality delivery of the project objective of “empowering women in three areas in Hebron City by promoting women's rights, economic empowerment, and improving vocational skills, especially for women with disabilities” through close cooperation with the Head of Programs and Management team.
The key responsibilities for this position will be as follows:
- Represent AAP and promote the organization in relevant meetings with local authorities, communities and other working groups.
- Lead the development of annual plans and budgets, and monthly financial plan together with projected spending and monitor progress against this plan closely.
- Monitor the project activities and report on successes and challenges as they arise.
- Create awareness, engagement and mobilization in women’s groups in the project location as per the project Plan.
- Maintain appropriate coordination with local authorities, development agencies and women’s rights organization in the implementation of the project activities.
- Maximize the impact of the project on the lives of the target groups via exploring new opportunities at local and national levels
- Coordinate with community supportive committees to ensure smooth implementation of the project activities through maintaining regular meetings at local level.
- Coordinate assessment, evaluations and research designed to target the project locations.
- Design and implement context-oriented livelihood projects that consider existing skillset of women.
- Ensure developing quarterly and monthly plans for effective execution of their project activities and ensure their alignment with AAP’s Programme objectives and overall project outcomes.
- Ensure that the Women voice and status in their household and community are enhanced.
- Ensure that the Women take collective action to address their key concerns.
- Ensure that the Women’s income and their decision-making is increased
- Ensure Partners are practicing accountability to communities.
- Adherence to AAP’s vision, mission and key values and principles

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social science, community service or other related fields. A master’s degree in any relevant social sciences discipline from a recognized institution is an asset.
- At least 5 years relevant experience in a multi-culture working environment and preferably in International agencies.
- Proven field experience in facilitation/mobilization of women to lead social and economic change.
- Experience in Partnership Relationship management and Networking.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and fluency in Arabic
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Work on own initiative with minimum supervision and to stay on task
- Experience in financial management and budgeting.
