IMG (International Management Group) is an intergovernmental organization involved in
monitoring and in implementing Spanish cooperation funded projects in several municipalities
of the West Bank.
IMG is soliciting applications for the position of a Financial Assistant and looking for a dynamic, highly organized professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for a short-term engagement.

Tasks:
Under the direct supervision of the project leader, the Financial Assistant will perform the following duties:
-Financial and administrative follow up and monitoring of the implementation of the projects being carried out by the Spanish Cooperation
-Financial control and supervision of the financial reports submitted by the implementing partners of the Spanish Cooperation
-Validation of correspondence and data related to ongoing projects as well as quality control of registered data
-Assistance with the preparation of field reports forms, manuals and guidelines for financial and technical reporting of projects
-Technical assistance and backstopping for ongoing tasks
-Follow coordination and backstopping for all field–based activities
-Any tasks as requested by the head of the Spanish Cooperation in the scope of his/her position.
Necessary Qualifications:
-University degree, BSc in Finance or similar
-At least five years of relevant working experience, particularly in finance and/or economy and administration development works
-Good command of written and spoken English and Arabic, knowledge of Spanish would be an additional asset
-Possessing a driver’s licence B category
-Reliability, initiative, thoroughness and attention to detail
-Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all project stakeholders
-Excellent computer skill, in particular Word and Excel, e-mail and Internet
Employee will work in Jerusalem and shall have the right to work in the city, and he/she shall
be available to travel upon request to the West Bank and eventually to Gaza. Working hours are from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Thursday (Fridays from 9.00 am to 2.30 pm) Application containing cover letter and CV in English, possibly in EU format, should be received no later than February 15, 2010 by email to the address: [email protected]
