Assistant Area Supervisor
Palestine Association for Children’s Encouragement of Sports (PACES), a UK registered NGO working in Palestine since 2006, is currently seeking to recruit two dynamic and highly motivated individuals for the following two positions in Palestine:
Job Title 2: Assistant Area Supervisor (Part-time – Jericho)
Job Location: Jericho / Palestine
Reports to: Area Supervisor / Center
Starting date: Immediately
MUST BE JERICHO RESIDENT
General Description of the Role:
The Assistant Area Supervisor will assists the Area Supervisor in the management and ongoing development of PACES’ work in his / her area, including the supervision of practice sessions, monitoring the performance coaches and clubs , while ensuring that PACES’ work contributes effectively and efficiently towards meeting the short, medium, and long term objectives of the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Represents PACES in the supervised area
-Implement PACES> vision, policy and objectives.
-Liaison between the clubs/center in the supervised area and the management of PACES.
-Monitoring the execution of the agreements signed between PACES and the clubs in the supervised area.
-Full coverage of PACES activities in the supervised area.
-Prepare all reports such as, but not limited to; biweekly reports, monthly reports
-Plan and implement a schedule for visits to clubs and training sessions that includes on average of 10 visits per week.
-Participation in conducting training camps for the teams that will travel to compete abroad.
-Coordinate for workshops and training sessions and supervise them.
-Conduct documentation, archiving and photography and follow up on correspondences and emails.
-Interact with technical Supervisor andor Sport Program Manager to develop the Sports program when needed.
-Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas and suggest remedial action.
-Participate in the planning and preparation of the next cycle’s program (identifying possible new clubs, performing introductory visits with the team, etc…)
-Participate in the end of year evaluation process of the clubs that operated during the sports year.
Essential Skills
-At least a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field from an accredited university
-At least 2 year experience in program development,
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, cross-cultural)
-Very strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied and changing workload
-Efficiency and able to meet deadlines
-Team Player
-Strong representational skills
-Strong report writing skills
-Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel) & Internet communications technologies.
-Fluency both in written and oral English and Arabic a must.
-High standards of integrity and transparency.
-Valid driving license.
