The Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) is a leading Palestinian Agricultural Development Organization that was established in 1986. Since its establishment, UAWC has been efficiently engaged in Palestinian land development, water resources & environment, poverty reduction and women empowerment, olive oil marketing, as well as other crucial rural development programs.

UAWC is seeking highly motivated and experienced applicants.

Vacancies as follows:-

Attorney

Starting Date: - 1st of December 2016
Location: UAWC’s West Bank branches.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience:

-University degree in Law from an accredited university.
-Practice of law license.
-At least one year of work experience in civil society organizations, particularly in the field of agriculture.
-Knowledge in the Palestinian Labor Law, Palestinian civil society organizations’ law and Palestinian Agricultural policies and law.
-Knowledge in legal advice, including legal follow-up to the Israeli occupation’s violations of the farmers’ rights.
-Ability to give trainings to farmers about their rights.
-Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken), Hebrew is a plus.
-Strong computer skills, particularly MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point…)
-Ability to work under pressure and in the field.
