Base Administrator
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.
ACF is recruiting for its Gaza office a
Base Administrator
For a maternity replacement period of 4 months
The Candidate will:
-Accounting
-Supervise monthly Accountancy and invoices prepared by Administrative assistant.
-Check cash/bank books for Gaza office along with the base admin assistant.
-Supervise and control bank movements against bank statements.
-Check and audit partners’ financial reports.
Treasury
-upervise and control the Gaza Base treasury and follow up on all related transactions.
-Check the treasury forecast based on project and office needs, and send it in timely fashion to the Mission Administrative Coordinator.
-Manage payments for external services.
Financial Management
-Ensure that costs allocated to the projects are considered eligible by the donor.
-Ensure that donor guidelines and procedures are followed and respected throughout the implementation period of each project
-Prepare budget follow-ups and budgets analysis.
-Participate in proposal design by developing budgets and validating new proposal budgets generated at the base level.
-Prepare financial reports (intermediate and final) as per donor requirements.
Human Resources Management
-Follow-up on the recruitment process in Gaza base and orientation process.
-Prepare and follow-up on local staff employment contracts and job descriptions.
-Follow-up on national staff annual evaluations at Gaza base.
-Prepare Gaza staff payrolls and pay monthly salaries in timely fashion under the supervision of the Mission Human Resources Manager.
-Manage salary advances and health insurance.
-Supervise Gaza based Administrative Assistant and Cook and Cleaner.
-Follow-up on Gaza staff trainings and prepare staff training plans.
-Submit Monthly human resources reports to Mission Human Resources Manager.
Profile of the Candidate:
-University degree in Economics, Business Administration or any related field.
-Solid experience in finance, administration and management in INGO.
-Minimum 4 years in a similar job or with similar responsibilities, preferable with an INGO.
-Capacity to treating information confidentially.
-Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
-Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Arabic and English
