MSF-France is currently seeking to hire BASE AND FACILITIES OFFICER - DRIVER
Workplace: MSF-France office in Al-Farabi Street 4, Shufat Jerusalem
Type of contract: Fixed term contract 6 months – with possibility of Extension
Wished start date: As soon as possible
Carry out or supervise maintenance and logistics activities in the base (vehicles, fuel consumption, and local infrastructure) according to MSF standards and protocols in order to have the material, infrastructure and vehicles in optimal running conditions. Perform as a driver according to the field needs.
- Planning vehicles movements, tracking individual trips, and ensuring implementation of security measures
- Tracking consumption of supplies, fuel, lubricants, used in different facilities (office, house, store, etc.).
- Checking the maintenance of the various open spaces (gardens, courtyards...) and ensuring that domestic waste is correctly discarded
- Checking and ensuring the maintenance of MSF premises and facilities, as well as the general water supply, electrical, walls, ceilings, etc. and security conditions. In this sense, making inspection visits to assess the rehabilitation needs of facilities.
- Performing maintenance of logistics equipment for cold chain, energy, IT and radio communications, in particular:
- Inventories and reallocation of equipment
- Checking the quality of the work carried out on generators and electrical installations
- Perform repairs when possible
- Preparing orders for logistics activity, do the follow-up, and checking their proper reception and state
Participating in trainings at the request of the line manager
Supply:
- Fill internal requests for the purchases of supplies and maintenance required for the logbase activities
- Collect fuel and maintenance invoices monthly
- Stationery and cleaning stock inventory
- Payment followup for the utilities, fuel and the other purchases
Vechile movement/ maintenace followup:
- Organise cars and movements of drivers based on the need.
- Communicate with base log supervisor in Nablus on movements between field and capital, airport, land borders…
- In collaboration with the drivers, keep updated records of each car fuel filling, maintenace, daily and weekely checkup
- Organize the monthly visit to the garage service shop
- Checkup car tools, maps and ensure the items purchased are delivered in a good manner
Premises maintenance follow up:
- Check up and follow organizing the regular maintenace of equipment and assets (fridge, photocopier, phone, Desktop computer, printers, Portable A/C) in Jerusalem and other premises or any other new premises. At the moment, the setup is composed of 7 flats/houses, 1 office and 1 store.
- Collect and record reading of electricity consumption: house, office and consultations and inform the PC of any issue
Reporting:
- Report to the LOGCO the monthly fuel consumption, monthly car maintenance and checkup.

- Report to the LOGCO an incident report or other major actions for cars or premises
Driver accountabilities:
Perform as a driver upon request, transporting authorized goods and passengers in an MSF vehicle, ensuring its technical and safety condition and respecting the country’s traffic rules and MSF security rules, in order to provide a safe and smooth service

Education
Degree in Logistics, Procurement, supply or Management is a plus
Experience
Desirable experience with other NGOs
Languages
English and Arabic, Hebrew is a plus
Knowledge
