The Palestine Cooperative Institute (PCI), with the support of We Effect, is seeking to engage an experienced consultancy organization or individual national consultant to conduct our “Baseline Study to Develop Academic and Training Programs”

This assignment is part of a project entitled, “Enhancing Cooperative Education in the Middle East” funded by our partners WeEffect.

Organization and project overview:

The PCI is an educational institution with a vision for advancing the professional capability of those either working in the cooperative sector, or those who are planning to do so in the future. A fully developed PCI structure will have three main divisions. Firstly, the academic division will have the capacity to award college degrees in cooperative operation relevant subjects. Secondly, the capacity building and vocational training division will train individuals in a range of skills in order to prepare and qualify trainees who wish toenter the cooperative sector job market or to upgrade the skills of current cooperative staff to meet contemporary job requirements. And thirdly, the research division will carry out applied and theoretical research with a special focus on the cooperative field of work.

The PCI’s project, funded by WeEffect, is intended to develop a training program and an academic program. These programs should meet the expected needs of  cooperatives whichoperate in different economic sectors and strengthen the cooperative movement. Therefore PCI is interested in engaging cooperative stakeholders in the process of developing the programs.

The consultancy firm, team or individual making an application for the contract shall submit a detailed proposal (in either Arabic or English) for the baseline study to develop an academic and training program. The proposal should be divided into two parts, i.e. technical and financial.

A detailed description of the assignment can be found in the Terms of Reference which can be collected from the PCI’s office from 09.00 hrs to 14.00 hrs as from Monday 17/07/2017 until 14:00 of Sunday 23/07/2017
