Big Data Engineer

As a big data engineer at this company, you will be challenged to help design, build, and maintain a sophisticated, and powerful data warehouse that supports internal and external reporting for our workforce OS platform for the hospitality and retail industries while contributing to the overall culture, performance, and integrity of our established team.

Skills and Qualifications:

Hands on experience with Hadoop, Map-reduce and frameworks/tools around the hadoop ecosystem
Experience with AWS EMR is a plus
have a keen sense of the importance of Object-Oriented development
Familiar with Java frameworks
contribute to the overall culture of a successful internet startup
have a strong working knowledge of database architecture for relational and non relational databases.
have a strong working knowledge building and scaling APIs
have a strong working knowledge of AWS and all it’s components
have a strong working knowledge of GIT repositories
have experience working in an Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environment
