Contract Duration: 3 Months
International Medical Corps is working to relieve the suffering of those impacted by war, natural disaster and disease by delivering vital health care services that focus on training, helping devastated populations return to self-reliance.
The USAID Gaza 2020: Health Matters project is designed to improve emergency preparedness and response (EPR), and to improve access and availability of quality primary and secondary health care by building the capacity of NGOs and community-based organizations (CBO) in Gaza and the West Bank. International Medical Corps (IMC) and its partners, Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, Inc. (CARE), Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Juzoor), and Mercy Corps, (the Consortium) bring together various components necessary to create a holistic system that is gender sensitive and responsive to crisis and to the needs of residents of Gaza and West Bank, including vulnerable populations.
International Medical corps is currently looking for Bio Medical Engineer Consultant:
Scope of Work:
- Provide technical support in the stage of evaluating the vendor’s qualification.
- Identify vendors or institutions that are able to provide more sophisticated maintenance service.
- Handle all technical operations and issues related to medical equipment.
- Coordinate with the targeted health facilities to identify and assess their needs, and prepare the necessary technical reports.
- Assist the selection of the potential vendors that would receive RFQ.
- Assist the procurement process when needed.
- Provide technical support for biomedical equipment specifications.
- Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
- Assist the formulation of the terms and conditions that should be mentioned in the RFQs.
- Provide technical evaluation in the bedding stage.
- Supervise the installation of medical equipment including the Pre installation works/ Site preparation for all medical equipment.
- Assist the quality control process.
- Ensure the delivery of the equipment and medicine according to the required specifications.
- Train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of equipment.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor degree in biomedical engineering or relevant studies.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of Medical Equipment Management.
- Very good English.
- Very good computer skills.
- knowledge of USAID roles and regulations.
- Very well understanding of the local market.
