Position Title: Biomedical Engineer Consultant
Location: Ramallah - Jerusalem
Closing Date: 25/11/2011

Welfare Association is seeking a Biomedical Engineer Consultant for a fixed term position (20 days
extendable) to follow up on Medical Equipments Grants for six hospitals in Jerusalem area.
The consultant will report to the Jerusalem Programs Director.

Responsibilities & Duties:
In accordance with established WA policies & regulations:

1) Technical Responsibilities:

1-Support six Jerusalem hospitals in preparing lists of needs of medical equipment and medical
devices with their general specifications.
2-Prepare tender documents and prepare technical tender conditions.
3-Assure that all of the equipment listed in the tender documents meet the needs of the hospitals.
4-Work with WA team members and beneficiary hospitals in the analysis of the bids.
5-Help WA in the technical negotiation with the winning vendors.
6-Assure procurement of medical equipment as per the required specifications included in the
tender documents.
7-Follow up and track delivery and installation by winning vendors according to required specifications.
8-Execute other relevant duties as assigned.

2) Requirements & Experience:

-3 year experience in the procurement, at a management level, of medical equipment for hospitals.
-Substantially aware of the various departments within and services provided by local hospitals
in Jerusalem.
-Ability to freely access Jerusalem when needed
-A Previous similar consultancy is a plus.
