BMZ Project Officer
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the project manager in the day to day implementation of the project activities for the project “Towards Climate Change Action with Nutrition Co-Benefits,” and other climate change/environment projects as required. The project officer is responsible for field level coordination, implementation and monitoring of planned activities in alignment with the project design and donor regulations, and supporting day to day coordinated efforts with local partners and CBOs. The officer should have experience in climate adaptation and climate-smart agricultural approaches, ideally with experience working in the West Bank (south Nablus in particular), as the project seeks to strengthen climate resilience through improved agricultural techniques that introduce more nutrient dense food to households. Position is conditional on funding.

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Agriculture or a related field.
- Relevant experience in environmental project management, including implementation and monitoring.
- Understanding of environmental regulations, climate change issues and sustainable development practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey environmental concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experienced in data collection and reporting.
- Experience in project management cycle.
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office and other applications
- Good Command of Spoken and written English
- Arabic
- English (writing, speaking)
- Have a valid driving license
