Branch Manager
A private microfinance company is currently developing its microfinance operations in the West Bank. The company is currently seeking a creative, problem-solving team-leader to join its management team. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a branch office within the West Bank. The ideal candidate will have a background in microfinance operations, together with administration and financial procedures.
Job Title : Branch Manager
The Branch Mangers reports to the Operations Manager and liaises with the Branch Coordinator, Finance and Human Resource Department on issues related to branch performance, administration and staffing.
The role of the Branch Manager is to provide management and supervision of the Branch Office in accordance with operational, financial and administrative policies, guidelines and objectives.
The Branch Manager is the local team-leader who oversees and supervises the performance, outreach and portfolio of the branch office to ensure that each member of the branch office team undertakes their duties according rules and regulations to meet employee performance standards through excellent customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Branch Manager is responsible for the management and administration of the branch office, including credit outreach, staff performance and debt management to ensure that the branch is financially and operationally sustainable. S/he will do this by conducting the following activities:

- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the branch office
- Manages the credit operations activities of branch staff
- Supervises the completion of productivity targets, financial ratios of each loan product and loan officer;
- Ensures that each loan product is achieving self-sufficiency
- Oversee the work of Loan Officer Supervisors to ensure performance targets for each product
- Reviews, verifies and recommends/approves loans in accordance with loan product procedures;
- Supervises the collection of non-performing loans and bad debts
- Oversees the finance, cashiering, accounts and administrative functions of the branch office
- Drafts branch office correspondence and prepares monthly and periodic reports on branch office activities;
- Participates in the recruitment and evaluation of branch office staff and trainees;
Qualifications and experience
- University degree in business administration, operations management, accountancy or a related discipline;
- Four years’ experience in commerce, finance or a microfinance institution in sales or operations;
- Two year experience in a leadership role,
- System skills in utilizing data analysis and reporting from finance and loan management systems
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of financial and efficiency ratio analysis related to managing staff performance and outreach;
- Ability to deal with complex operational matters and resolve operational issues in a timely manner;
