The Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI), is an independent Palestinian organization, based in Al-Bireh and will launch in Gaza in 2010. PICTI has been created through the initiative and support of the Palestinian Information Technology Community and has recently been awarded a grant from the Palestinian Authority government in Ramallah. PICTI’s mission is the commercialization of ICT innovation by Palestinian entrepreneurs. PICTI targeted services assists Palestinian entrepreneurs to develop their innovative products, to incorporate a new start-up business and to access local and regional markets. For further information about PICTI,PICTI is seeking energetic and talented individuals to fill challenging entry level and career oriented positions at its premises in Al-Bireh on project

Business Development Associate – [One Vacancy / Full Time]
The Business Development Associate will directly report to the Incubator Manager and will be part of the core incubation program at PICTI. He/she should have the experience, knowledge, initiative and drive to be a forceful champion in helping Palestinian ICT entrepreneurs develop their products/ services and create those business opportunities leading to successful marketing and sales.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
1-Conduct Awareness Campaign and Workshop about incubation, innovation and technology entrepreneurship.
2-Assist in developing a successful business model for PICTI clients in the West Bank and Gaza.
3-Assist in preparing project/business plans for clients either hosted @ PICTI or supported virtually.
4-Assist clients in conducting and analyzing market research and intelligence.
5-Serve as a marketing broker helping to pool or merge firms and resources.
6-Provide public relations support to client firms in highlighting their products and services to local, regional and international firms and potential investors.
7-Facilitate skills enhancement and capacity building that will allow firms to bid on larger projects.
8-Develop product positioning and sales/ pricing strategies and models.
9-Identify, evaluate and promote ICT opportunities in local, regional and international markets.
10-Progress the clients’ projects through PICTI’s process by tracking and monitoring the progress of clients’ product and business development in order to graduate new start-up companies.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of a bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, …
-At least 2-3 years of increasingly responsible experience
-Good knowledge of and experience in regional and international markets
-Strong analytic skill
-Proficiency in spoken and written English.
-Excellent problem solving skills and ability to handle stress and meet deadlines
-Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point
-High level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
