CAD Operation Assistant

For a period of 5 months

The Candidate will Carry out the following duties in a collaborative effort between ACF and the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility (CMWU)
-Field survey and mapping: a topographic survey for the three governorates will be conducted in order to delineate and map the sub-catchments. Maps of existing stormwater drainage infrastructures and flooding areas will be produced in order to identify the most vulnerable areas.
-Review shop drawings and diagrams.
-Operate and adjust surveying instruments.
-Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports.
-Program and execute surveys related to storm water.
-Collect the required data related the Stormwater master plan development,
-Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
-Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
-Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.
-Collect data for MIS and GIS (Geographical Information System) and document them.
-Prepare data, charts, plots, maps, records, documents and reports related to surveys.
-Prepare reports to Engineers on work executed, work plans and problems encountered.
-Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
-Supervise the small scale pilot projects implementation.
-Create and update drawings as required.
-Create drawings in both 2 and 3-dimensional form as required.
-Fill in technical details using drawings, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations.
-Develop and maintain drawing files for Assigned project.
-Assist the design expert in preparing the tender drawings and details for the storm water project.

Profile of the Candidate:
-Diploma in engineering/surveying or any related field.
-Minimum 3 years proven relevant field experience in field survey, ACAD, GIS for infrastructure work.
-Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
-Knowledge of and experience in using surveying devices and equipment.
-Excellent command and experience working in 2D and 3D design using AutoCad.
-Understand the uses of drawing levels, reference files, and CAD tools
-Fluency in English (spoken and written) required; Arabic will be considered an asset.
-Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
-Fully proficient in MS-Office, ACAD, GIS and Internet. ..
