Improved Access to Essential Services for Persons with Disabilities in Highly Marginalized Areas of occupied Palestinian territory Project

About:
Handicap International (HI) launches a call of interest for construction suppliers to conduct physical accessibility for home and health care centers in the framework of the project "Improved Access to Essential Services for Persons with Disabilities in Highly Marginalized Areas of occupied Palestinian territory funded by Canada DFATD and the OPEC Fund for International Development - OFID and implemented with two partners Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS) and Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR).
The project aims at facilitating the accessibility of Persons with Disabilities to basic services in c areas of 6 governorates in the West Bank (Tulkarem, Qalqilya, Hebron, Bethlehem, Jericho and Tubas); through providing home based rehabilitation services, mobility assistive devices, disposable health care kits, physical adaptation to health care centers and homes, awareness raising programs as well as supporting the development of the existing referral system.

Aim of the Call
This call of interest is issued by HI with the objective to create a portfolio of profiles for construction suppliers. The mentioned vendors should present their experience in implementing physical accessibility modifications for people with disabilities homes and health care centers.


Description of the Mission
The suppliers have the responsibility to adapt the facilities previously identified by the technical rehabilitation professionals. This may include reconstruction/adaptation of building entrances, toilets, ramps and accessible pathways. In addition, the supplier might be asked to conduct other works according to further accessibility needs of the beneficiaries.
The selected construction suppliers will modify 300 homes and 40 health care centers in the targeted areas. The implementation timeframe is September 2015 to September 2016.


Submission of Expression of Interest
Interested suppliers are requested to submit the following information:
1. Supplier name (as registered) and sales representative contact details
2. Area of expertise and complete portfolio of services provided
3. Registration details (number, place of registration, etc)
4. Geographical coverage areas
5. Previous tenders experiences
6. Budget of the last granted tender and information of with whom was conducted.
