Campaign Organizer (Project Officer)

Title: Campaign Organizer (Project Officer)
Organization: BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, Based in Bethlehem.

Summary Description:
Role Purpose: implementation and develop of BADIL capacity- and alliance building, as well as outreach and mobilization among Palestinians and in the Arab world, including tools and services to local and regional publics, beneficiaries, partners and target groups.

Responsible for:
-Implementation and development of BADIL community-based projects and campaigns (Al-Awda Award, Nakba commemoration, community support, joint activities and actions with local and regional partners),
-Production of Haq al-Awda magazine (5 issues annually), and designated training, information and advocacy tools: training tools & graduation booklet/Youth Education & Advocacy, press releases,
-Website updating and development (Arabic and English),
-Information dissemination (Arabic),
-Serve as a resource person for BADIL’s Ongoing Nakba Education Center, the BDS Campaign, journalists, visitors, partners and target groups, in particular in Palestine and the region.
-Management, monitoring and reporting of progress and results derived from activities.

Education and Experience:
-Master Degree in Human Rights Law, Journalism, Politics, or relevant fields.
-At least 2 years experience in organizing coordinating popular and public activities, lobbying, and networking.
-Excellent skills in writing in both, Arabic and English.
-Excellent experience in conducting research and training,
-Excellent experience in communication,
-Ability to work under pressure, and
-Excellent English skills (writing, reading and speaking)

Key Competencies
-Believe in the basic rights of Palestinian people, in particular, the right of return.
-Has excellent knowledge and understanding of the Palestinian refugee issue, and the relevant international resolutions.
-Able to live in Bethlehem.
-Able to start work as soon as possible.
