Job Title: Capacity Building, Training, and Private Sector linkages Specialist Vocational Education and Training Development Program
Location: Ramallah Office
Save the Children (SC), as a non-profit U.S based development organization, has been working in the Palestinian Territories since 1973. Since starting its operations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip (WB/GS), SC has concentrated on enhancing Health, Educational, Psychosocial, Food Security, and Economic Opportunities in order to achieve its mission of creating lasting, positive change in the lives of children.
Save the Children) is implementing a Vocational Training and Education Development Program (VTEDP) funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in partnership with Mercy Corps (MC). VTEDP, a four-year program, aims to strengthen and diversify the skills of young Palestinians. It will promote vocational training among Palestinian students and their communities, while building links between the League of TVET institutions and the private sector. Through participation in the program, young Palestinians will be able to contribute to the Palestinian economy and
their families’ livelihoods. Save the Children invites candidates to apply for the position of Capacity Building, Training and Private Sector Specialist who will lead the implementation of the capacity building and training components for partner institutions and partners. This position reports to the Program Manager.
Requirements
-A degree in a related subject
-Minimum of a three years of experience in training, facilitating, and in capacity building .
-Experience in conducting needs assessment in terms of capacity building
- Experience and knowledge of the Palestinian TVET System and Knowledge of local organizations and TVET institutions
-Experience with the private sector, and in developing public-private linkages
-Familiarity with international donor project management requirements and policies
-Demonstrated understanding of the political, economic, and social context of the operating environment
-Proven leadership, representational, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
-Strong English and Arabic oral and written communication skills; and ability to generate
reports and other written documents
- Experience working with international and local partners
-Computer skills
-A valid driving license
-Ability to travel in the West Bank and Gaza, and internationally
