Job Title: Career and Entrepreneurial Skills Project Coordinator
Sub-Contracted Grant Funded Position for 2 years – option to extend
Department/ Section: Alumni Relations Office
Immediate Supervisor:Haneen Musleh, Alumni Relations Officer
Job Objective/ Summary:
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall implementation and coordination of all activities within the Youth Creativity, Innovation, and Employment grant awarded to Bethlehem University by the Italian Ministry of Youth.
The Project goals are to increase the meaningful employment of graduates of Bethlehem University by providing current students and graduates with significant international careerfocused internships as well as with local job placement opportunities. The Project also seeks to involve and support faculty members as well as additional trainers interested in redesigning course curricula and providing workshops designed to enhance the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of students and graduates. Additionally, the Project will include opportunities for business plan competitions as well as workshops and seminars designed to improve life skills and career-focused skills of current students as well as graduates.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Main routine duties:
1-Ensure the successful coordination and implementation of the Project activities designed to result in quality outcomes of the Project
2-Recruit and hire experienced trainers, consultants, and trainers needed to implement the various project activities.
3-Develop good relations with the private sector to secure job placements for graduates, and also mentors for business plan participants.
4-Provide appropriate follow up and supervision of the work of the Project trainers and participants.
5-Coordinate with the Alumni Relations Officer and other staff members on the implementation of the project.
6-Evaluate and monitor of the Project progress at all phases.
7-Prepare reports to be submitted to the immediate supervisor and to the Donor.
8-Coordinate and chair meetings of the Project team members, faculty members, employers, and program participants as needed and appropriate.
Periodic duties:
Performing other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
Responsibilities:
(Such as membership on committees or councils).
Establish a Task Force to assist with this Project; involving faculty members, employers,
trainers, alumni, and students Special Working Conditions: (Such as frequent traveling or working outdoors).
Emergency Need: (Such as working beyond normal schedule).
Occasional work outside normal office hours and during weekends.
Qualifications
1-BA degree in Business Administration or other related fields.
2-Minimum of 3 years of experience
3-Excellent communication and networking skills.
4-Excellent reporting and formal writing skills in both English and Arabic.
5-Excellent technical, interpersonal, computer and administrative skills.
6-Experience in youth employability and entrepreneurship programs preferred.
7-Good knowledge in financial and procurement management.
8-Organized and result oriented person.
9-The ability to work within a team and under pressure.
