Title: CBR Program Accountant

Work Location: Community Based Rehabilitation Program (CBR)/Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR) 

Main tasks:

  • Registering the journal vouchers in the computerized accounting system for the projects.
  • Saving and filing the journal vouchers.
  • Preparing the accounting transactions that are related to projects according to the regulations.
  • Applying the conventional accounting system and implementing accepted financial procedures in accordance with the regulations of the donor in consistency with the laws and regulations applicable to all financial activities of the project.
  • Recording all transactions disbursed according to the budget lines.
  • Participating in the follow-up with banks and preparing bank reconciliations for the projects’ account.
  • Receiving and reviewing invoices and financial documents for the projects and preparing payment vouchers.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly reports for projects.
  • Any other work assigned, which falls within the nature of the job.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields.
  • Proven previous work experience in a similar job, ideally with an NGO
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic
  • Proficient experience in Bisan Accounting System
  • Proven coordination & organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer competency
  • Can work under pressure
  • A valid driving license
