CHF/Agriculture Engineers
Job Description
CHF International is implementing the Gaza Urban Agriculture Revitalization and Development (GUARD) program in the Gaza strip, with funding from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This program proposes to establish a home gardens program aimed at increasing the availability of a variety of fresh, nutritious foods from local sources that are unaffected by border closures, thereby improving both food security and nutrition. As the participants improve their growing/animal raising conditions, and increase their knowledge and skills, it is expected that many plots will be capable of producing a surplus that can be marketed to supplement household income; thus a marketing training component will be included.
