Chief Accountant
Job Description
Established in 1995, BCI was founded to meet the needs of emerging regional ICT markets with a sound knowledge base and a strong network of global partners, BCI has since evolved into a regionally recognized advisor and provider of top of the line services and solutions spanning a range of sectors. BCI is intending to recruit a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Chief Accountant in its offices in Ramallah:
Main Responsibilities and activities:
-Assumes full responsibility of the company assets management.
-Ensures that all payments are fully supported and in compliance with the companies policies and procedures.
-Monitors compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and corporate procedures.
-Ensures compliance with the Applicable Governmental regulations and laws.
-Ensures that management imposed controls are in place and functioning properly.
-Ensures proper accounting data entry and proper recording.
-Prepares reports and supporting schedules for the monthly financial review.
-Prepares annual financial statements to help the external auditor express his professional opinion independently.
-Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system and stock and maintains system of accounts and keeps records on all company transactions and assets.
-Assists with annual budgets – prepares all allocations.
-Coordinates monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
-Reports, analyzes, and ensures integrity of all financial information, including
monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts and monthly confirmations with major customers/vendors.
-Follow-up with banks and maintain distinguished banking relations.
-Follow-up with vendors and resolve all issues with them and maintain a professional relationship with them.
-Prepare monthly aging report for the accounts receivable and payables.
-Perform any relevant tasks assigned to him/her by company top management.
Qualification required:
-BA in Accounting and CMA. MBA and/or an international certification is a plus.
-At least 7 years of experience in a private sector company.
-Fluency of both English and Arabic (spoken, written) Hebrew is a plus.
