Empowerment Solar seeks a dynamic and hard-working woman or man to join our team building our solar company from the ground-up. Empowerment Solar designs and installs distributed photovoltaic (PV) solar electric systems for Palestinian commercial (and later residential) clients in the West Bank. Primary responsibilities will be focused on design and on-site supervision of distributed PV system installations.

Responsibilities:

-Design distributed solar PV systems (under 1 MWp) for wide variety of clients.
-Manage project permitting processes with Palestinian electricity distribution companies and Palestinian government authorities.
-On-site supervision of PV system installation teams.
-Become PV components expert.
-Manage local and international supply chain requirements.

Education/Experience/Language requirements:

-First level university degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject.
-Minimum of 7 years of work experience in engineering is required.
-Knowledge of Palestinian energy regulations is an asset.
-Knowledge of solar (or clean) energy in general, is an asset.
-Be an extremely hard worker able to dedicate themselves full-time to the effort in a dynamic, and energetic start-up environment and culture.
-Be innovative and independent, requiring minimal supervision in accomplishing tasks, identifying new essential ones, and developing creative solutions to perceived insurmountable problems.
-Believe in the vision, as their own, of a for-profit venture to harness the market and the sun for social benefit.
-Be open-minded and flexible but understand and believe in principles of accountability, punctuality and responsibility.
-Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
