The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.
The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs
Job description
-Supervise and support case management mentors
-Provide case supervision for Child Protection and GBV Cases, assisting with complex cases
-Facilitate trainings for NRC Case Management mentors
-Co-facilitate training of trainers for CP and GBV case management
-Co-facilitate training of trainers for roll out of SOP and referral pathway tools
-Support the CP/GBV Project Manager in the development and roll out of SOPs and referral pathways
-Lead monitoring and evaluation processes for CP/GBV project
-Oversee the implementation and progress of the Young Women’s Emerging
Leaders Project
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience in social work; health care; or community development
-Significant experience in working as a senior case manager and social worker
-Relevant Experience
-Social Work, Health Care, Community Development

-College / University, Master / Phd grade
Personal qualities
-Minimum of 5 years of experience working in child protection programming
-Knowledge of the context in Gaza
-Experience in providing supervision in case management
-Demonstrable experience in creating new teams
-Considerable experience in leading trainings, capacity-building of junior staff and mentoring
-Political and cultural awareness, and experience working in complex and volatile contexts
-Knowledge about own leadership skills / profile
-Fluency in English and Arabic both written and verbal
