Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Child Protection Manager who will be the responsible for the overall supervision of SC CP interventions in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, to ensure the quality and effectiveness of programming in accordance with grant proposals and guidelines, as well as SC values and principles. The Manager will provide input into the strategic vision and direction to the SC protection programme in East Jerusalem and North West Bank, including allocation of resources and ensuring that appropriate controls are maintained at all levels. The goal of this programme is to protect Palestinian children from any kind of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation and to contribute to build community based and national CP system. The CP Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall implementation of the activities and coordinating the partnership with local organizations and national stakeholders.  He/She will also organize and coordinate workshops, trainings, seminars, and awareness campaigns involving children, youth and adults and partake in needs assessments and evaluations for the projects.

Requirements
-Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Human Rights Studies, or relevant fields and Master degree in a relevant field.
-Relevant experience in managing projects in the field of Child protection.
-Technical expertise in child protection (including CP subthemes as juvenile justice, sexual reproductive health, children affected by armed conflict)
-Experience and understanding of working in partnerships with national organizations, local communities, as well as sensitivity to cultural norms.
-Finance/budget management experience with multiple donors (EU, ECHO, UNDP, SIDA)
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines.
-Ability to manage a small proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
-A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment.
-Understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives and commitment to Save the Children values
-Valid driving license
-Written and verbal fluency in English.
-Computer literacy in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel as well as email/internet
