Child Right Governence Officer

Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates for the Child Right Governence Officer to work on children and youth projects throughout the West Bank. The Child Right Governance Officer (CRG officer) will oversee the implementation of SC CRG projects in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in particular, to ensure the quality and effectiveness of programming in accordance with grant proposals and guidelines, as well as SC values and principles.
The goal of this programme is to empower children and youth to take active and leading roles in decision making processes in their communities, and influence those in a position to impact their present and future well being. The programme also aims at the socio-economic empowerment of youth in vulnerable communities, by increasing their access to employment opportunities. The Officer will be responsible for coordinating the partnership with local organizations and national stakeholders. The Officer will also organize and coordinate workshops, trainings, seminars, and awareness campaigns involving children, youth and adults and partake in needs assessments and evaluations for the projects.
Requirements
-University degree in Human Rights/Social Science, or a related field
-Relevant experience in project management with youth and children
-Experience and understanding of working in partnerships with national organizations, local communities, as well as sensitivity to cultural norms
-Finance/budget management experience
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines.
-Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with
-colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
-A full appreciation of the value of co-operation, both internationally and within a team environment.
-Understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives and commitment to Save the Children values
-Valid driving license
-Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic
-Computer literacy in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel as well as email/internet
Desired:
-Prior experience working with EC funded projects
-Technical expertise in child and youth participation and youth socioeconomic empowerment
-Experience and understanding of rights-based programming and approaches to development
-Experience with communications and advocacy work a plus
-Experience work developing and leading participatory training sessions
