Job Description
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is an international aid agency that has been present in Jerusalem, West Bank, and Gaza since 1961. Currently, the CRS JWBG country program supports development/relief programs and activities in the sectors of civil society, humanitarian assistance, youth development, education, peace and justice.
Catholic Relief Services is implementing the Cash for Work (CFW) component of the program: "Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP)" funded by USAID for employing skilled and unskilled beneficiaries in Jabalya and Rafah Governorates.
Catholic Relief Services CRS invites all interested university graduates to apply for the position of Civil/Architect Engineer for a 2-Months Contract

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1-Conduct needs assessments for work sites.
2-Prepare bills of quantities (BoQ) and technical specifications for the needed materials and tools for work sites.
3-Follow up and evaluate bidding documents.
4-Prepare workshop and as built drawings.
5-Supervise in details the implementation of works in the selected sites and keep records of all projects.
6-Document, and prepare daily and monthly reports on the project progress.
7-Design and track schedules for the execution of implementation plans of sites.
8-Participate in a final inspection with other designated persons, and participate in the final handover of the sites.
9-Review quality assurance, safety and health plans in accordance with the project specified requirements.
10-Fill out and submit final project completion form.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1-Bachelors of Science degree in civil or architectural engineering from an accredited university.
2-At least 2 years of professional experience in projects engineering and supervision, previous experience in rehabilitation activities and cash for work projects is preferred.
3-Excellent command of report writing, construction, and site management (materials and tools).
4-Good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills.
5-English and Arabic language skills.
6-Excellent computer skills.
7-Currently unemployed.
8-Residence of Rafah and/or Jabalya “North Gaza” Governorates.
