Position:  Civil Engineer

 Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Supervision: Oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Quotations and Contracts: Solicit and evaluate quotations from contractors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure competitive pricing for all project components.
• Design and Planning: Collaborate with architects and designers to refine project plans, address any design issues, and incorporate best practices in civil engineering.
• Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all projects comply with local regulations and building codes; maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in civil engineering, preferably within the real estate or construction sector.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.
• Excellent skills in project supervision and management.
• Proficiency in obtaining and evaluating contractor quotations.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Project. Other Familiarity with Engineering software’s / programs is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
