Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the construction site, ensuring that all structural components of our projects are designed and constructed according to specifications, codes, and client requirements. Proficiency in English is essential for communication with international teams and clients.

Job Responsibilities include:

Oversee and coordinate all structural engineering aspects of construction projects.
Supervise on-site activities and ensure compliance with structural design specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers to resolve design and construction issues.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on progress and any potential issues.
Ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provide technical advice and support to the project team.
Participate in project meetings and provide input on project planning and execution.
Communicate effectively with international clients and team members in English.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in civil or structural engineering, with a focus on site supervision.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of structural analysis software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000).
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards.
Prior Experience working with USAID-funded projects is a significant advantage.
